The mission will consist of three parallel programs focused on helping companies and entities of the Catalan BioRegion to achieve financing opportunities, cooperation and commercialization of innovative services in health sciences, and distribution of medical technologies and/or products and services in health.

A priority market for Catalan companies

According to the 2017 Internationalization Survey conducted by Biocat, companies in the BioRegion say Canada is the second most interesting overseas market for the future.

Toronto hosts the largest geographic concentration of health science assets in Canada, with strong connections to other global knowledge and market centers in the health sciences, as well as the MaRS Discovery District, one of the most innovative hubs in Canada. A series of characteristics that have helped to create a prosperous ecosystem for the region with a great potential for growth and investment that would place it among the most important in the world.

The health system of the country is similar to the Catalan and the European ones, since it also promotes the entry of new technologies. Canada is an excellent gateway to the United States market, enjoys an excellent technological offer and has investment availability.

During the Toronto Health Innovation Week, 26 different events will be organized, including the RESI Conference, an Innovation Forum to attract investors that is organized in different cities in an itinerant way.
