BioMalta Life Sciences Park
More than 200 foreign companies have invested and are operating in Malta, which is, at the same time, becoming an important hub for the financial services industry.
The Government is investing significant sums to create an environment that favors research and companies in the life sciences sector. One of the most important projects in this line has been the creation of the BioMalta Campus in San Gwann, in collaboration with the University and National Hospital of Malta, which will be the center of the country’s most important R&D&i cluster. Work on the BioMalta Campus is expected to be completed in 2014 and, according to Malta Enterprise, industry that moves into the new cluster will have fiscal and financial incentives and grants for training.
