The publication is the output of the Foundation’s seminar on institutional and corporate communication

This new monograph by the Grífols Foundation aims to encourage reflection on the role each must play in keeping the population informed on topics of health and healthcare.
In the work entitled Ethics of corporate and institutional communication in the health sector, various professionals put down in writing their recommendations and viewpoints regarding the ethical considerations of healthcare information passed on by institutions and corporations in the health arena.
This monograph, presented by Vladimir de Semir, head of the UPF Master in Scientific, Environmental and Medical Communication, is the result of a seminar held by the Foundation with keynote speakers including Dean of the Blanquerna Communication Faculty Josep Maria Carbonell and head of Corporate Communication for the Bertelsmann Foundation Marc de Semir.
Thus, Carbonell’s contribution to the publication is “ten aspects of ethics applied to corporate communication in the health sector to poverty, to hunger and to the appearance of progress.” Marc de Semir covers the topic of “ethics as an intrinsic value of corporate communication in the health arena.”
Other professionals from the sector also participated in compiling this monograph, including Biocat Head of Corporate Communication and Institutional Relations Adela Farré, Research Assistant at the IESE Center for Research in Healthcare Innovation Management Lucile Danglas and Deputy Managing Director of the Bellvitge University Hospital Berta Ortiga, among others who wanted to make the contributions they deem necessary in order to properly inform society of issues in the life sciences arena.
