The Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) opens its doors to the public next Saturday 1 October 2011, from 10 am to 19:30 pm, and organizes various activities related to science and biomedicine. It is a festive and scientist day, conducted by about 160 volunteers, researchers and Park staff.
This is the fourth edition of the Open Day PRBB, which is always the first Saturday in October. This year also marks the Park 5th anniversary.
There will be tours in which participants can visit the facilities and laboratories with Park researchers, who will show the space, explain how they work, what does the Park serve for, what equipment do they need to work, etc.
Just in front of the PRBB building, at square Charles Darwin, there will be workshops and experiments for all ages and especially for children. Attendees will be able to extract and take home their own DNA, play with a magical milk, build DNA with candy, learn about the risk of cardiovascular diseases, play with risk prevention symbols and many other activities.
