The European PRECISEU project has launched a call to award grants to support interregional innovation projects in personalized medicine. The total earmarked for the call is €11.57 million, of which 50% comes from the European Union through the Horizon Europe program and 50% from funding agencies in the participating regions.

The call is aimed at consortia working on innovation projects designed to accelerate time to market for new solutions in personalized medicine. Specifically, the program will fund initiatives in two main areas: developing advanced therapies and using health data for personalized medicine. Projects must help advance technologies or solutions from TRL 6 to TRL 8 and include a clear regulatory pathway to market. Each project may be awarded up to €3 million, with a maximum of €600,000 per participating entity.

Eligible participants include companies, research centers, universities, hospitals, public administrations, associations and large corporations. However, only entities established in regions with a participating funding agency can receive funding. The consortia must include at least three independent entities from three different funding regions, in at least two different Member States, and at least one SME. Plus, the project coordinator must be established in one of these funding regions. For Catalonia, the participating funding agencies are the Catalan Ministry of Health and ACCIÓ.

Grant proposals must be submitted in a single stage, in English only, using the online form on the PRECISEU website. The deadline is June 14, 2026, at 5:00 pm CEST. The results of the call are expected by July 31, 2026, and the selected projects will run from October 2026 to March 2029.
