3rd Meeting of Technology Transfer Offices
Tech Transfer Day brought together more than 120 professionals in technology transfer and healthcare innovation in Catalonia. This is nearly twice as many as the previous year.

On April 25, 2024, Biocat hosted the third Tech Transfer Day in the Àgora Hall at the CosmoCaixa Science Museum in Barcelona. The event featured participants from Catalan universities, technology centers, research centers and hospital research institutes, consolidating its status as the benchmark annual event for the sector.
The program featured a formal welcome from Robert Fabregat (Biocat) and Àlex Esteban (”la Caixa” Foundation), a session on funding for TTO innovation projects with Jaume Argerich (UB), and presentations on various acceleration and funding programs such as Bring-IT, InnoPau, TRIP Clinics, Deep Tech Venture Builder Program, the Catalan Ministry of Health validation trials call under the PERIS plan, the Mercat-PoC grants and the FITA fund. The session also highlighted the CRAASH Barcelona program and Invest BioRegion Portal platform, which connects national and international investors and corporates with projects and startups from the BioRegion of Catalonia.
The main focus of the event was securing funding and access to acceleration programs, as well as introducing new developments and opportunities for technology transfer in healthcare.
