Barcelona Health Innovation Week 2024
For the second year in a row, Biocat organized Barcelona Health Innovation Week. This weeklong event is dedicated to showcasing the diversity, strengths, impact and potential of the life sciences and healthcare ecosystem of the BioRegion of Catalonia.
From February 12 to 15, 2024, 37 organizations from the sector hosted a total of 43 activities in Barcelona and its metropolitan area, doubling the numbers from the previous edition. These activities brought together nearly 3,000 professionals, consolidating it as one of the leading healthcare innovation events in Europe.
Artificial intelligence was the core topic, with about ten activities focused on the application and regulation of AI in healthcare. Other noteworthy topics included digital health, advanced therapies, science and regulation. Research institutes and biotech companies led sessions on personalized medicine, omics techniques and healthcare innovation.
New this time, at the end of 2024, Barcelona Health Innovation Week launched a new, more interactive and functional website, featuring filters by topic, format and schedule, and a map to easily locate in person activities. The platform will boost visibility for organizers and speakers, and make it easier to register activities for future editions.
